I’ve taken my studio off the holiday rentals at the moment as I’m using it too much myself. The last time I booked myself in to stay, my flight home was cancelled but as holiday renters were due in, I had to move out of my own studio and stay in a hotel instead. This dilapidated chunk of rock by La Reserve has been given a modern expensive makeover. We took a couple of hours off our scrubbing and snagging week in Nice to try it out.

Our ski things are stored in Nice and we save a lot of money by flying easyjet to Nice, hiring a car and driving the long -6-7 hours to Méribel in the high French Alps. This is a huge Italianate 18th century plaza or square at the back of the old town. It divides the Port, Old Town and edge of the modern city centre.
